Go to the shopIn Darjeeling, winter is the time for all tea plants to rest. Come spring, little leaf buds begin to appear and open amidst a flurry of activity. From these leaves, comes the famous Darjeeling First Flush tea, tea from the first harvest of the season.
This is an exceptional first flush tea from one of the premium high altitude tea estates in Darjeeling. This is a black tea that has been lightly fermented, resulting in a greener, more delicate brew. It has a mild astringency, boasting flavours of peach and flowers with slightly earthy undertones.
Pure Darjeeling Black Tea
Steep 1tsp per cup for 3 mins in 85-90° C water. Do not add milk.
Approx 27-35mg per cup
A really refreshing and flavoursome cuppa enjoyed black for afternoon tea.
This delightful tea is perfect on its own for a light and fragrant afternoon tea without milk, or mixed with a darker tea for if you prefer milk.
This Darjeeling is delicious with a delicate yet complex flavour, just the right strength; should definitely not have milk added!
This is a delicate, beautifully-flavoured Darjeeling - the only one I've tried so far that I can drink without milk! (And that's saying something, because I'm a 'milk in tea' addict!)
